Seagrove Ribbon Kelp: First Place in Food Service

We were so excited for the opportunity to present Seagrove Ribbon Kelp at the Alaska Symphony of Seafoods event held in Seattle, WA. The event was hosted by AFDF and the awards were presented at the Pacific Marine Expo. We entered our product into two categories, Food Service and Retail.

For the Retail category, we partnered with our friends at Trident Seafoods to incorporate their Louis Kemp Surimi into the Spicy Seaweed Salad we had been working on. And although we did not place in this category, the salad was still a huge hit and we would love to share it with you now! 

However, we were so incredibly humbled to be awarded FIRST PLACE in the Food Service Category! We are honored to have been recognized amongst such talented peers and cannot wait to continue to grow and bring sustainable, Alaskan kelp to kitchens across America.
